This Privacy Policy describes how the Showkin mobile application (the "App") published by GLOBAL MEDIA DISTRIBUTION GROUP LLC ("GMD Group", "we", "us") handles information.
Summary
Showkin does not collect, store, or share your personal data. There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no trackers, and no advertising identifiers in the App.
Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not require a real account. The sign-in screen is a demonstration feature: no credentials are sent to or stored on our servers. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, location, photos, or any other personal information.
Data Stored on Your Device Only
The following data is stored locally on your device and never leaves it:
- Your favorites (saved episodes)
- Search history
- Recently played channels
You can remove this data at any time by clearing the App's storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
Content Delivery
Podcast episodes, cover art, and channel information are streamed from our content servers (showkin.uz). Like any internet service, our servers temporarily process standard technical information (such as your IP address) strictly to deliver the requested content. This information is not used to identify you, is not combined with other data, and is not shared with third parties.
Data Sharing and Selling
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with third parties.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from children.
Security
All communication between the App and our servers uses HTTPS (TLS) encryption.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
